FrameReady HEIC/HEIF decoder: source code and license ========================================================= The files in this folder (libheif.js, libheif.wasm) are the unmodified WebAssembly build of libheif-js 1.23.5, which contains: - libheif 1.23.5 (HEIF/HEIC container decoder), LGPL-3.0 - libde265 1.0.15 (HEVC/H.265 image decoder), LGPL-3.0 These libraries are free software under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3 (LGPL-3.0), which incorporates the GNU General Public License, version 3. To ask, email support@getframeready.com. Using your own build -------------------- FrameReady does not compile these libraries into its own code. A Web Worker fetches /heic/libheif.js (the Emscripten glue, a classic script that defines a global `libheif` factory) and /heic/libheif.wasm only when you add a HEIC/HEIF photo in a browser that can't open it natively. You may replace both files with your own build of libheif-js exposing the same interface (HeifDecoder, heif_context_free and the image display() API), for example on a copy of the site you host yourself, or with your browser's local overrides.
