Ratio guide
11:14 ratio print size (11 × 14 in)
The 11:14 print size is 11 × 14 in; at 300 DPI it needs 3300 × 4200 px.
11 × 14 in is a frame-store staple with its own ratio (11:14, roughly 0.79). No other file in your pack prints to it without a visible crop, which is why sellers include it separately.

What sizes are 11:14?
Every size below has the same shape, so one file at 11 × 14 in (3300 × 4200 px) prints correctly at all of them. Pixel dimensions are inches × 300.
| Size (in) | Size (cm) | Pixels @ 300 DPI | Pixels @ 150 DPI | Frames |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11 × 14 in 11x14 photo size | 27.9 × 35.6 cm | 3300 × 4200 | 1650 × 2100 | Standalone · outer size of matted 8 × 10 |
What is the 11:14 ratio used for?
Classic framed prints and matted displays; 11 × 14 frames often ship with an 8 × 10 mat opening, so the same buyer may print both. US buyers in particular expect to see it listed.
Which frames fit a 11:14 print?
Sold as a standalone frame and as the outer size of matted 8 × 10 frames. A 27.9 × 35.6 cm metric label is common on the same product.
How much is cropped when you convert art to 11:14?
11:14 (0.786) sits between 3:4 (0.75) and 4:5 (0.8), so crops from either are tiny: roughly 4% of the height from 3:4, 2% of the width from 4:5. From 2:3 you lose about 15% of the height.
In FrameReady, drag the photo to choose what's in the 11:14 frame (or use the arrow buttons), or switch that ratio to "Fit + pad" to keep the whole image.
What resolution do you need for a 11 × 14 in print?
To be print-ready at 11 × 14 in without upscaling, your source needs at least 3300 × 4200 px after cropping to 11:14. The absolute floor (150 DPI) is 1650 × 2100 px. More on this in DPI explained. Below that, drop to the next size down rather than ship a soft file.
