Who sells and who licenses

FrameReady is provided by Paperkiln Studio, an independent software studio in Canada that builds small, privacy-first tools for artists, makers and anyone who prints ("we"). Link (Stripe) sells Pro to you as merchant of record, under its own terms. The software license is granted by us, under these terms. By using the site you agree to these terms. See About for how to reach us.

Using FrameReady

FrameReady is a browser tool for resizing your own artwork and photos into print sizes. You may use the Free tier for personal and commercial work without restriction. You are responsible for having the rights to any image you process.

Pro license

A Pro license is a one-time purchase that grants you, the buyer, a personal, non-transferable right to use Pro features on up to five browsers at a time. There is no subscription, and updates are included. Pro checks your key with our license server about once a day and keeps working offline for up to 7 days between checks. If we ever shut down the license service, we'll give at least 90 days' notice by email and on the site, and publish a final update that keeps Pro working offline for existing buyers.

Acceptable use

Your license key is for you. Don't share, publish or resell it, don't try to get around, crack or tamper with the license check (for example by editing stored license data or FrameReady's code), and don't flood or script requests to our servers.

Suspension for breach

If a key is used in breach of these terms, for example because it has been shared publicly or resold, we may suspend or revoke it. We'll tell you first by email at the address it was bought with, unless the abuse is clear and ongoing; you can reply to explain or put things right. The refund rules below still apply.

Buying and tax

Purchases are processed by Stripe through Link, our merchant of record, which is the seller on your receipt and handles payment, sales tax/VAT, invoices and payment support under its own terms. Prices in USD (checkout can show your local currency). Sales tax/VAT, where applicable, is calculated at checkout by our payment provider. Your card statement shows "LINK.COM* FRAMEREADY": FrameReady is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout, which is the merchant of record and sends your receipt.

Refunds

Changed your mind? Email support@getframeready.com within 14 days of purchase, from the address you paid with, and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. We issue the refund through Stripe, and it goes back to the way you paid. A refund revokes the license key: it stops unlocking Pro in every browser. For a payment problem, such as a charge you don't recognise, a double charge or a card issue, you can also contact Link support, the seller on your receipt. If a payment is disputed, its key stops unlocking Pro while the dispute is open, and is restored if the dispute is resolved in our favour.

Right of withdrawal (EU/UK)

If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Pro is digital content that is supplied immediately. Before checkout you ask for Pro right away and acknowledge that you lose that statutory right of withdrawal once your license key is delivered, and the email with your key confirms this. In practice nothing is lost: our own guarantee still gives everyone 14 days to get a full refund for any reason (see Refunds). Your legal rights if Pro is faulty or not as described are not affected.

Your files

Everything FrameReady produces — image files, ZIPs, PDFs and listing images — is yours. We claim no rights to your artwork, photos or output, and we never receive them.

No warranty, and limits on liability

FrameReady is provided "as is". We work hard to make the output correct (sizes, pixel dimensions, DPI metadata), but you should check files before listing or printing them. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost sales, marketplace decisions or printing costs arising from use of the tool, and our total liability to you for anything related to FrameReady is limited to the amount you paid for Pro. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or rights you have under consumer-protection law where you live.

Third parties

Etsy is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. FrameReady is not affiliated with or endorsed by Etsy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the law or FrameReady changes; the date at the top shows the current version. We announce material changes on the site before they take effect, and email Pro buyers about changes that affect their license. A change never takes away a Pro license you already bought or reduces what it includes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
